Surrounded by farms in Fresno, Ohio Amish country, the men’s facility lets clients experience an escape from the rat race. The men’s residence is a homestead with a barn, cows, chickens, a horse, donkeys, pigs, dogs, and of course the goat. The relative isolation provides clients with the opportunity to reconnect with nature as a way to experience God. Since cell phones are not allowed in the program and television viewing is restricted, clients are encouraged to read, write, study, walk on the property, and interact socially.
Summer is a time when clients play baseball, talk around the campfire, or play cornhole on warm evenings. Cold winter evenings are ideal for hot chocolate and talking in the common room or escapades in the snow.
The men’s house is a microcosm of the world “out there” with its disagreements, arguments, personality clashes, and other relational challenges. It is in relationship to others that we learn about ourselves and grow. This happens optimally in an environment where skilled and experienced staff members mediate interactions, since above all, Operation 6:12 is about family, about brotherhood, and about support.
OPERATION6:12 IS A FANTASTIC PLACE TO BE AT AND A HOME TO BE A PART OF AS A BROTHERHOOD. I'VE NEVER HAD OR HAVE BEEN A PART OF IN MY LIFE. I'VE BEEN TO ONE OF THE NATION'S TOP-RANKED REHABS BEFORE WHICH IS A NICE FACILITY BUT IT'S NOTHING AS COMFORTABLE AND EASY TO COMMIT TO AS OPERATION 6:12 BECAUSE 6:12 HAS SHOWN ME HOW TO LIVE AND ENJOY LIFE AGAIN WHEN NOBODY ELSE COULD.

6:12 is a brotherhood of recovery that helps rebuild your life, not just get you clean. When you're feeling down or if you just need a friend, there's always someone there to talk to. Through faith and hard work, the tools needed to live a sober and productive life - comes a freedom from our selfish ways and breaks us down from the bondages of uselessness we once felt as addicts so we can rejoin society as a useful and productive member.

Operation 6:12 has helped me find the key to the lock that has been holding these chains around me. The freedom from bondage I've received here is amazing. They have helped me become closer to God and realize I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I've been to many facilities but none like 6:12. I would do anything for my brothers here and they would do anything for me. I feel as though I've been adopted into a new family, and not just at a rehab recovery center.

6:12 has pointed me back to Christ and caused me to realize that spiritual fitness is the only solution to my problem. 6:12 is a group of men forged in the fire of addiction that God is raising up from the ashes. It is a hedge of protection over men reclaiming God's purpose in their life. Day by day God is modeling these jars of clay and shining a light where darkness once lived. For the first time in a long time, many are experiencing a new freedom and their cup is being filled with hope. It's a sense of belonging to a family and long after I leave 6:12 I know I will look back on this experience warmly and fondly. This is our place. This is our time to shine. If the son has set you free - you are free indeed.
